Two young farmers end lives, third attempt suicide

Akola, Apr 18 (UNI) Two young farmers ended their lives while another attempted suicide during last 48 hours in west Vidarbha region.

According to police, Vinod Vithal Wakte (25), resident of Wadali village under Nandura taluka of adjoining Buldana district committed suicide by jumping into a well on the agricultural land yesterday morning. He was living in a joint family.

In another incident, Narayan Kondiba Bansode(25) of village Andhera in Deulgaon Raja taluka bordering Buldana district also ended his life by hanging himself to death on the night of April 16 last, police said.

Both the farmers took extreme step as they were under tension due to bank loans as well as constant failure of crops, family sources said.

While Pandurang Atmaram Pohre, (45) resident of nearby village Ural in Akola district has attempted suicide by consuming poison last evening. He has been hospitalised in the general hospital here, police added.
