Two UNLF cadres nabbed in Meghalaya

Shillong, Apr 18 (UNI) A hideout of Manipur-based United National Liberation Front (UNLF) was busted and two of its cadres were arrested here.

The two cadres, identified as Ima Singh and Dinesh Singh, were arrested yesterday from their residence in Madanriting area here, police said today.

However, police did not recover any arms or ammunition from their possession. Police said the UNLF cadres had been operating since a month ago.

Last year, the state police busted the hideout of the UNLF's finance wing from a posh Cleave Colony here and arrested four of the outfit finance wing members.

Police seized Rs 21 lakh from their baggage, various SIM cards of Bangladesh Grameen mobile company and incriminating documents.

Meanwhile, police had started to gleam from the duo.
