Two-and-half-year-old kidnapped boy rescued
New Delhi, Apr 18 (UNI) A two-and-half-year-old boy, kidnapped on March 3, has been rescued and six people allegedly involved in the case arrested in Uttar Pradesh, police said today.
Police said the accused had demanded ransom of Rs 30 lakh from the family of the kidnapped boy, Himanshu.
Rakesh (26), Jitender (22), Mahesh (45), Raj Kishore (28), Deepu (19) and Arvind (21) were arrested on April 16 from Etah in Uttar Pradesh During interrogation, the accused revealed that they had kidnapped the child for ransom to pay off their debts.
The boy was kidnapped from outside his house in West Karawal Nagar in Delhi while he was playing.
The accused used to work as labourers in the locality.
