Three BSF jawans killed in head-on collision

Krishnagar, Apr 18 (UNI) Altogether three BSF jawans were killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a lorry, early this morning, near the Kotwalli police station in the district.

Police said the jawans - the driver of the motorcycle and the two pillion riders, who were passing by Kulgachhi, were hit by the lorry coming from the opposite direction. All of them died on the spot.

The lorry driver tried to escape with the vehicle, but the villagers caught him, about one km from the accident site and beat him up.

The driver was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, police said.
