SP sacks 4 ex-MLAs for 6 yrs

Lucknow, Apr 18 (UNI) Taking a stern action against anti-party activities, the ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) today expelled four ex-MLAs, several office bearers and workers for six years from the primary membership of the party.

The action was taken by SP state unit general secretary and PWD minister Shivpal Singh Yadav with the consent of party state president Ram Sharan Das.

From Lucknow, Ms Kamla Yadav, Arvind Yadav, Suresh Yadav and Ms Bindu Yadav have been sacked, while former MLA Bal Govind Jaswanti, Syeed Khan and Taukir Ahmed have been expelled in Sitapur.

In Unnao, ex-MLA Ashok Kumar Singh Baby and Om Prakash Rawat, while ex-MLA Pawan Pandey, Shiv Nayak Verma, Sabhajeet Verma, Ram Araj Verma and Malkhan Singh from Siddharthnagar have been expelled.

Others include ex-MLA Ram Ratan Yadav, Kamroojma Fauji and Mohd Rehman (Sultanpur), Aapda Haran Singh and Suresh Shukla (Gonda) and Shiv Pujan Chauhan (Ghazipur).

On Monday, SP had expelled two ex-MLAs, six office bearers and workers for six years from the primary membership of the party. The action was taken against those fighting UP assembly poll against party's official candidates.
