SLCL Q3 PAT up 188 pc

New Delhi, Apr 18 (UNI) Textile manufacturing company Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn Ltd (SLCL) today posted 188 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 11.83 crore for the third quarter ended March 31, 2007 as against Rs 4.11 crore during the same period last year.

The company's turnover was Rs 155.74 crore in the said period, up by 65 per cent from Rs 93.32 crore achieved in the corresponding quarter last year.

It has completed its Rs 264 crore expansion programme and the commercial production has begun from the expanded capacity from September last year in Terry Towel and bottom weight fabric segments, and that for bed sheets and Denim fabric segments is scheduled from end of this month, a statement issued here today said.

The commercial operations from this project would add Rs 180 crore and would enhance the company's total turnover to Rs 600 crore by June 2007.

The turnover is expected to further go up to Rs 800 crore in 2007-08 and to Rs 1,000 crore in 2008-09.
