One killed, Communist worker injured,hideout busted in J
Srinagar, Apr 18 (UNI) One person was killed and a worker of the Communist Party of India (M) was shot at and wounded while security forces arrested a militant and busted a hideout in Jammu and Kashmir, an official spokesman has said.
He said militants shot at and wounded a CPI (M) worker Nazir Ahmad Bhat at Kujar Yaripora in south Kashmir last night. He was admitted to a hospital.
Police today extracted the unidentified body of a male from Jehlum river near Pather-Masjid in the down town city.
He said acting on a specific information police arrested one Abdul Ahad Rather alongwith one pistol and six rounds of ammunition at Kupwara bus Stand.
Security forces busted a hideout at Hakanar Ganderbal and recovered one hand grenade and one UBGL grenade last evening.
However, no one was arrested.
