One died in bus accident

Chittoor, Apr 18 (UNI) A 60-year-old passenger died and seven others were injured, three of them seriously, when an APSRTC bus in which they were travelling hit a tree near Punganoor here today.

Police said the bus proceeding to Chittoor from Madanapalle while overtaking an auto hit a road side tree.

One passenger Chinna Reddappa died on the spot and seven others including the bus conductor got injured.

The injured were admitted in Government RUIA Hospital in Tirupati, police added.
