Notorious interstate dacoit Thokia and gang slip away

Banda, Apr 18 (UNI) Notorious interstate dacoit Thokia and his gang members today escaped from their hideout in Chhivlaha forest, as the police had laid seize to the entire area here.

However, cops arrested two aides of Thokia, who carries a bounty on their head.

ASP Dharmaveer Singh said police had surrounded the jungle in Fatehganj area after a tip-off about the presence of Thokia and his men.

However, the outlaw took advantage of the dense forest and gave police a slip, he said.
