Judicial colloquium in Ahmedabad on Sunday

Ahmedabad, Apr 18 (UNI) A judicial colloquium will be held here on April 22 to sensitize judicial officers on the Pre-Conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Technique Act (1994).

The colloquium will be inaugurated by Supreme Court Judge C K Thakker. Legal luminaries will deliver lectures on different topics on Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Technique Act (1994).

Guidance on the topics will be provided to the civil judges of Ahmedabad's rural areas and Gandhinagar District, judges of the Ahmedabad Metropolitan Court and Family Court and other judicial officers.

The colloquium is being organised jointly by the Gujarat Department of Health and Family Welfare, Gujarat High Court, and Gujarat State Judicial Academy under the auspices of United Nations Population Fund (UNPA).

Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court Y R Meena will preside over the function while Gujarat Law and Health Minister Ashok Bhatt, will be the Chief Guest. Gujarat State Judicial Academy president and Gujarat High Court judge J M Panchal, and Country Representative of UNPA Ena Singh will be guests of honour.
