Isolated rain in Karnataka

Bangalore, Apr 18 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Tavaregere 3. Subramanya Soraba, Koratagere 2 each. Kiravatti, Haveri, Mysore, Chikmagalur, Balehonnur, Ajjampura, Hosadurga, Nelamanagala 1 each.

Maximum temperatures fell at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 39.9 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/ thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Interior Karnataka and at at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Rain/thunder showers likely towards evening/night. Maximum temperature would be around 34 degree celsius.
