Hearing on Nandigram case deferred till April 26
Kolkata, Apr 18: The hearing on the death of 14 people in police firing in Nandigram was deferred for the second time this week at Calcutta High Court today.
The division bench of Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghosh and Justice Biswanath Samaddar which had postponed the hearing on Monday till today, further deferred the hearing till April 26 giving adequate time to the petitioners and the defendants to go thorugh the documents on the incidents which took place on March 14.
The much awaited hearing was first postponed on Monday after the West Bengal Government prayed for time to go through the documents submitted by the litigants.
The hearing had been fixed for April 16 before a division bench headed by Chief Justice Surinder Singh Nijjar.
But the case came up for hearing before the division bench of Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghosh and Biswanath Samaddar as the Chief Justice was on leave.
