Govt's appliction on OBC not rejected, says Cong

New Delhi, Apr 18 (UNI) The Congress maintained that the Supreme Court had come out with no judicial order today on the Centre's application seeking vacation of its stay on 27 per cent reservation to OBC in educational institutions of higher learning.

"They have not rejected the possbility of modification of its earlier order and the original order stands,"Congress Spokesman Abhishek Singhvi said briefing mediapersons here.

Replying to a question,Mr Singhvi said there was a process of review of its judgement by the Supreme Court .There was no modification of its judgement today and things stand where they are."Only when the court rejects the application can you comment." "What you are talking about is the listing process of the court. You have to wait for the court to opine,"Mr Singhvi told the questioner.

The Spokesman told a reporter,"You are pre-supposing the judgement. Let the Court hear and decide."The stage for deciding the issue has not come." Mr Singhvi said the Government had made a prayer to the apex court and there was no final review yet.
