Four killed in car-lorry collision in Puducherry

Puducherry, Apr 18 (UNI) Four people were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a lorry at Kamban Nagar early this morning.

According to police, Venugopal(35) of Valavanur in Villupuram district fell ill last night and he along with his mother Lakshmi and a relative Chandrasekeran, hired a taxi to the Puducherry government hospital at 0130 hrs, when the mishap occurred.

While Lakshmi and a car driver Sivakumar died on the spot, Venugopal was declared brought dead by doctors at the hospital.

Chandrasekeran succumbed to this injuries inthe hospital, police added.
