Former NSCN-IM top brass shot dead

Kohima, Apr 18 (UNI) A Former NSCN-IM Central Administrative Officer (CAO) was shot dead last night by suspected rival NSCN(K) militants at Police Colony in Dimapur Official sources said here today.

They said the deceased was identified as one Vihoto Chishi of Thilixu village under Dimapur district who had served the NSCN-IM as the CAO of Sumi Region.

The victim was driving his car when the assailants shot him dead.

Meanwhile, the Information and Publicity branch of NSCN-IM condemned the killing of Vihoto and described it as a 'dastardly assassination'.

In a release issued by their publicity branch,the cadres extended their condolence to the aggrieved family.
