Former CPI (Maoist) leader lynched by rival group
Chatra, Apr 18 (UNI) Former CPI (Maoist) area commander carrying of Rs 50,000 on his head was lynched by the members of rival Jharkhand Prastuti Committee in Chatra district last night, police today said.
About 30 JPC ultras first kidnapped the ex-Maoist leader, identifed as Samsuddin Mian, from his house and beat him to death at Ranitand village.
The victim, a prime accused in the murder of a Block Development Officer, was released two-and-half-month back after spending three years in jail for the crime.
