Former BAC chief Premsing Brahma dead
Kokrajhar, Apr 18 (UNI) Former Bodoland Autonomous Council (BAC) chief Premsing Brahma died of a cardiac arrest at his residence in Dhaligaon town of Bongaigaon district this morning.
He was 55 and is survived by his wife and a daughter.
Mr Brahma was among the frontline leaders of the Bodoland movement and his death had cast a pall of gloom in the entire Bodoland.
He was the head of BAC from 1994 to 1996.
He was also actively associated with the Indian National Congress and had contested elections unsuccessfully.
