Five awarded life term in Bihar

Hajipur, Apr 18 (UNI) A local court today awarded rigorous life imprisonment to five people and slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 each in connection with kidnapping of the station master.

Additional district and sessions judge Kamal Dev Prasad Singh sentenced all the five accused to rigorous life in prison after they were found guilty in the case.

According to the charges, Shashi Bhushan Kumar, station master of Desri under Sonpur rail division of East-Central Railway, was kidnapped by the convicts on January 31,2005.
