Bangalore, Apr 18 (UNI) Mysore based Excelsoft Technologies, a leading e-learning solutions provider, today announced that it has developed an unique software application called 'Newsmaker' for The Guardian, a leading UK based daily.

Newsmaker is a computer application for all school subjects and ages that helps students design their own newspapers. The Guardian was making this application available to its hugely popular education products that have a loyal readership base a company release here said.

Newsmaker, which took about two years to develop, literally transforms a classroom of students into a news room of editors, journalists and picture researchers exploring world topics while developing important curriculum skills. Its ease of use and a choice of templates and fonts make the task of page making and editing a fun exercise.

Announcing the development, Mr. D.Sudhanva, CEO, Excelsoft said, ''There are two elements to Newsmaker. The first is the computer application, which lets students produce a professional-looking newspaper using a step-by-step process. The second element is the suite of Topic packs linked to a range of curriculum subjects. The packs are ideal for activities where the principal learning objective is using relevant information to present a story or argument rather than finding or creating information resources''.
