Bikaner, Apr 18 (UNI) Actor-turned-MP Dharmendra seems to have suddenly become politically active with recent indications that the state BJP is not happy with his performance in Bikaner constituency.

BJP state unit president Dr Mahesh Sharma had recently said here that candidates like Dharmendra, who have failed to improve their constituency's condition may not get tickets next time.

The BJP MP in effort to please the party high command has written a letter to Railway minister Lalu Prasad demanding a superfast train service between Delhi and Bikaner.

He has written that since Bikaner is a fast developing tourist place and since the passengers find it quite difficult to reach the place, a superfast service may be started soon, also keeping in mind the distance between Delhi and Bikaner.

This may be seen as an attempt to get back into favour in the party as Dr Sharma had said Dharmandra seems far alienated from the problems of his constituency as neither does he visit the area nor does he raise their problems in Parliament.

Dr Sharma had also said the party has learnt a lesson from people like him and would think twice before giving such people party ticket.
