Decrease in water level in major reservoirs

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 18 (UNI) Water levels of major reservoirs in Kerala have decreased.

According to figures released by the Central Water Commission for the week ending April 16, water level in Idukki reservoir decreased from 2,338.32 ft to 2,334.96 ft, in Idamalayar from 474.34 ft to 471.69 ft and in Kallada from 317.42 ft to 313.65 ft.

When compared with the water level recorded during the same period last year, Idukki and Idamalayar reservoirs showed an increase of 0.79 ft and 06.11 ft respectively, while Kallada reservoir recorded a decrease of 25.52 ft.
