DCs, ZP CEOs appointed nodal officers for Janata Darshan

Bangalore, Apr 18 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today appointed Deputy Commissioners and Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officers as nodal officers for conducting Janata Darshan and staying overnight at villages.

A statement from the Chief Minister's Office here noted that the people-oriented progammes have been drawing large number of people from far away places to get their grievances redressed.

The Chief Minister opined that it was not correct to make these people come all the way to the city to get their problems solved as most of the representations pertained to those of the aged, women, widows and disabled, which could be resolved at the district level.

The Chief Minister's Janata Darshan in the city and village visits have been an instant hit with the masses, who see it as a golden opportunity to get their long-pending problems solved.
