BJP will fail to spread communalism: Lalu

Gonda/Siddharthnagar, Apr 18 (UNI) Terming BJP a 'puppet' of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS), Railways Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad today asserted the party will never succeed in spreading communalism by circulating the ''objectionable CD.'' ''All BJP efforts will come a cropper as the Ganga-Jamuni culture of the country will not let that happen,'' Mr Prasad said while addressing election rallies in Gonda, Siddharthnagar and Balrampur districts.

''BJP always tries to spread communalism in the name of religion.

But now, Brahmins, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians have understood its true nature and the same would reflect in the ongoing UP assembly poll results,'' the minister claimed.

The RJD chief alleged ''BJP always cheats the common man. It is power hungry. When election comes, it does not mind selling Lord Ram for winning hearts of crores of Hindus.'' Firing a salvo at the Mulayam Singh Yadav government, he said ''the CM has the habit of making fake promises while addressing poll rallies. But after coming to power, he turns a Nelson eye to it. Mr Yadav has nothing to do with the grievances of people and that was the reason why he did not visit Nithari.'' Expressing concern over the 'dismal' law and order situation in UP, he wished whatever happened in Nithari might not happen again.

Wooing Muslim voters, he rebutted all allegations of the oppostion terming Congress-led UPA government at Centre anti-Muslim.

''The Centre is committed towards the cause of Muslims and will soon implement the recommendations given in the Sachar Committee Report,'' he claimed.
