K'taka: BJP accuses Cong of dividing coalition
Madikeri (Karnataka), Apr 18: The BJP in Karnataka today accused the Opposition Congress of attempting to drive a wedge between the coalition partners -- BJP and JD(S).
Deputy Chief Minister and senior party leader B S Yediyurappa, speaking at Kushal Nagar as part of the BJP's ongoing Vikas Yatra, clarified that the yatra was aimed at publicising the achievements of the JD(S)-BJP coalition Government in the State and it did not pertain only to the BJP. Likewise, the Congress was dubbing the State budget, which had provided facilities to all sections of the society, as a BJP budget with ulterior motives, he alleged.
Listing out the achievements of the coalition Government, he ridiculed the Congress, stating that the erstwhile Congress rule should disclose what they have done to the public.
Reacting to KPCC President Mallikarjuna Kharge's remark that the yatra was BJP's final one, BJP State President D V Sadanada Gowda termed the yatra as the ''anthima yatra (final journey) of the Congress''.
