Admn taking steps to redress LAD employees grievances: CM

Puducherry, Apr 18 (UNI) The Puducherry administration is taking steps to redress the grievances of the striking Local Administration Department (LAD) employees, Chief Minister N Rangasamy told the legislative assembly today.

Replying to a special mention tabled by leader of the opposition A M H Nazeen, who pointed out that the employees on strike for the past few days were holding demonstation in front of the legislative assembly today, Mr Rangasamy said the adminstration had received the recommendations of the committee that looked into the issues of the local administration department employees.

The employees representatives were also invited for a discussion and they were present in his office today. Hence, the issue could be settled, the Chief Minister said.

Mr Rangasamy said he would consider the issue of promotion of the Junior Engineers of the department.
