Workers march to Dist Collectorate to oppose MSRTC privatisation
Sangli, Maharashtra, Apr 17 (UNI) Workers of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), Sangli division, marched today to the district collectorate to protest the state government's proposed move to privatise the transport undertaking.
The morcha was led by MSRTC Workers' Sanghatana leaders Biraj Salokhe and Ashok Khot.
Later, a delegation of the leaders met Sangli District Collector Rajendra Chavan and submitted a memorandum of their demands.
The Sanghatana has planned to organise a state-level agitation on April 25 to oppose the government's move, Mr Khot said.
