Vedanti, many others booked for spreading 'communal violation'

Gonda, Apr 17 (UNI) Former MP and senior member of Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, Ramvilas Vedanti, along with several others, has been booked for violating the model code of conduct.

The accused were trying to spread 'communal violance', while addressing people of various communities, police today said.

Sundar Das, Kanhaiyalal Das, Suresh Das, Govind Maharaj, Ramkishore Das, Ramkailash Das and Mahendranath were booked along with Dr Vedanti.

Cases have been registered in Nawabganj, Vazeerganj, Kotwali Nagar and Katrabazaar station areas against them, they said.

Meanwhile, BJP, VHP and Bajrang Dal have condemned the move of the administration.
