UTI Bank quarter 4 PAT up by 39.6 per cent

New Delhi, Apr 17: UTI Bank today posted a 39.6 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 211.89 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 in comparison to Rs 151.73 crore during the corresponding period last year.

The Bank's total income during the period rose 57.2 per cent to Rs 1667.87 crore as against Rs 1060.72 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006.

In addition, its net profit for the year ended March 31, 2007 was up 35.8 per cent at Rs 659.03 crore in comparison to Rs 485.08 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006.

Its total income rose 54 per cent to Rs 5570.51 crore for the year from Rs 3618.42 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006.

The bank also recommended a dividend of Rs 4.50 per share (45 per cent) for the year ended March 31, 2007.
