Undertrial's death leads to stone-pelting

Morena, MP, Apr 17 (UNI) Four police personnel were injured after a mob blocked a road and pelted stones following the death -- in hospital early today -- of a 30-year-old undertrial who was incarcerated on April 14 at Jaura on the charge of disturbing peace, police said.

Even prior to postmortem, Makhan Singh Kushwaha's body was placed on the road by the agitators who were demanding assistance of Rs 2 lakh for the affected family. Senior officers led an additional force from here. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered.

Police used mild force to bring the situation under control.
