Two fatally knocked down by APSRTC bus

Bangalore, Apr 17 (UNI) Two youths were killed on the spot when a 'Garuda' luxury bus belonging to the Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation ran over them at Chikballapur town, about 45 km from here, today.

Police said the duo, identified as Nagaraja (20) and Ambareesh (15), were crushed under the bus on the busy main road of the town.

The bus was proceeding to Bangalore from Hyderabad.

Irate people who gathered at the spot began throwing stones at the bus, before police officials rushed to the spot and consoled them. The driver of the bus was allegedly beaten up by the mob.
