Tripathi expresses confidence to win election
Dehradun, Apr 17 (UNI) Former UP Minister Amarmani Tripathi, facing trial for allegedly killing poetess Madhumita Shukla, today expressed confidence he would win elections from Maharganj constituency.
Mr Tripathi, looking elated after his hearing in the Court here, told reporters, that his opponents would ''bite dust in the elections, losing their deposits.'' Expressing his contentment on Supreme Court's ruling that allowed him to contest Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, he said, in democracy everyone has a right to contest elections and his opponents should prepare themselves to lose their deposits.
When asked about the murder case he is facing, Tripathi said he was trapped under conspiracy, adding that the character of Madhumita was well known.
