Train services disrupted on Rampurhat-Nalhati section of ER

Kolkata, Apr 17 (UNI) Train services on Rampurhat-Nalhati section of Eastern Railway's Howrah division were disrupted following derailment of a goods train at 1415 hours near a level crossing between Rampurhat and Swadinpur stations.

Derailed wagons also dashed a foot bridge near the level crossing gate blocking the down line, an ER release said.

There was, however, no injury or casualty in the accident.

Engineers and workers had rushed to spot to clear the single line for restoration of the train services on the section.

However, North Bengal and Asom bound train services were being maintained through Katwa-Azimganj section.
