TNCC chief's assurance on sugar mill

Kancheepuram, Apr 17 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Congress President (TNCC) M Krishnaswamy today said he would hold discussions with Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on re-opening the Padalam Co-operative Sugar Mills here.

Speaking to newsmen after hoisting the party flag, the TNCC Chief said the mill had been lying closed for five years now affecting thousands of sugarcane farmers and workers dependent on it for a living.

He would take up the issue with the Chief Minister and take steps to re-open the mill.
