RD Ministry releases Rs 1.95 crore under SGSY

Agartala, Apr 17(UNI) The Union Rural Development Ministry has recently released Rs 1.95 lakh to the Tripuras West District Rural Development Agency(DRDA).

The fund released was under the Swarnajayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana(SGSY) for the 2006-07 and it was the second installment of Central share of funds under the SGSY scheme, an official release here today.

The approved fund is subject to the audit by Internal Audit of the Rural Development Ministry, the amount should be utilised as per the approved guidelines of the programme. The funding pattern would be 75:25 for the Centre and the state, the release added.

The Ministry has also released grants-in-aid amounting to Rs three lakh to the Purba Hailakandi Development Council in Asom as the third and final instalment of the Central assistance for setting up Rural Building Centre at Basdor.

The grant would be utilised only for the plan expenditure and would be utilised for approved items of works as per the project proposal submitted by the concerned grant-receiving agency and approved by the Union Government for the purpose, the release stated.
