Jaipur, Apr 17: With hardly two years left to woo back the voters, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje is preparing to pull up her ministers by sending them self-appraisal forms which will indicate their performances in their respective departments.

Sources said Mrs Raje has sent a letter to each of the ministers asking them to file their replies in respect of the promises made during elections and the quantity of work done so far. The ministers are expected to submit their replies within the next two days.

Mrs Raje will assess the replies and is likely to prepare a report card of each of the ministers. The Chief Minister is said to be taking the election manifesto as the standard document and see how many promises have been fulfilled in the past three years and how many promises still remain and why.

Political experts say Chief Minister's move may also be seen as a ploy to stop the constant bickering and rivalry between her set of ministers. Some others say it can be seen as a prelude to cabinet reshuffle or expansion.

When contacted, Environment and Forests and Mines minister Laxmi Narayan Dave told UNI that the Chief Minister keeps on sending such letters from time to time.

''Such letters are regular things. It is nothing new. But I have achieved my target of revenue earnings,'' he said.

Mr Dave, who is outside the state capital, said he would be able to confirm about the letter once he gets back.
