Plethico eyes herbal companies in Germany

New Delhi, Apr 17: Mid-sized drug maker Plethico Pharmaceuticals Ltd today said it is mulling acquisitions in Germany's herbal sector.

The move is aimed at strengthening the company's foothold in the herbal market of advanced countries.

Earlier, the company had announced plans to pick up a minority stake in a retail pharmacy chain in the rapidly-growing Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) market, to de-basket its credit risks and proceed from Credit Market (distribution) to the Cash Market Segment (retail pharmacy).
