PIPDIC loan ceiling raised

Puducherry, Apr 17 (UNI) The administration has decided to enhance the ceiling of the loan amount through the Puducherry Industrial Promotion Development and Investment Corporation (PIPDIC) from the present Rs five crore to Rs ten crore, Industries Minister V Vathilingam told the Assembly today.

Making a suo-motu statement in the House today, Mr Vaithilingam said the limit for project cost was also being enhanced from Rs 12 crore to Rs 20 crore which would help several good industries to set up their units here.

The statue of 'Bharat Madha' at the Botanical Garden here would be renovated and beautification work in the surrounding area taken up. UNI
