One person sentenced to seven year imprisonment in a rape case

Shimla Apr 17 (UNI) A local court here today sentenced one person to seven years imprisonment after convicting him of rape.

District and session Judge R L Raghu also imposed a fine on convict Madanjit Verma. In case of default, he will have to undergo imprisonment for one more year.

Madanjit has also been also sentenced to two years imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs 5000 under section 506. The sentences would run concurrently.
