Talking to reporters after the budget session was prorogued, Mr Deshmukh reiterated that the land would be given to the project only after the farmers get completely satisfied.

''There will be forcible land acquisition,'' he said.

''We are still considering to have Monsoon session in Nagpur, though it was announced that it would be held in Mumbai,'' Mr Deshmukh said, while replying to a query.

The Speaker has stressed for more discussion on the issue, he added.

The suggestion to shift monsoon session came up during the informal meeting of the business advisory committee of the legislature.

Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, who was was also present, said so far, 26 persons have been arrested by the police in connection with the attack on the private news channel's office yesterday.

Mr Patil said there was not enough evidence to nail the culprits in last year's desecration of statue of late Meenatai Thackeray, wife of Sena chief Bal Thackeray.

Earlier, Mr Patil had said if he would reveal the names of the culprits involved in the desecration, the Sena would lose its face.

On the other hand, Leader of the Opposition Ramdas Kadam and BJP group leader Eknath Khadse alleged that the government had completely failed in tackling the issues like farmers suicide and power shortage.

Mr Kadam reiterated the demand for waving of loans to the farmers as a measure to reduce the spate of suicides by farmers.

He also criticised the government for letting off Revenue Minister Narayan Rane against whom serious charges have been registered with the police during the Ramtek Lok Sabha by-election.

''We will wait for one month to see what action the government takes on this issue or will resort to massive agiation all over the state,'' Mr Kadam said.

Asked about the nature of agitation, he said ''it will be Shiv Sena style.'' UNI
