New Seasons CTC in high demand

Kolkata, Apr 17 (UNI) CTC variety of tea was the movers and shakers in the Kolkata tea market last week.

A tea market report here today said around Rs 2,78,039 kgs of tea was sold and it had good demand.

Around 52,965 kgs of orthodox variety was sold last week while 24,890 kgs of Darjeeling was sold as well.

The market report said traditional exporters and local dealers mainly operated in the market. Darjeeling tea also had a good demand.

All the new seasons teas met with good demand. Best Dooars brokens and Fanning sold considerably well.
