Mulayam is not 'dharti putra' but 'dhan putra': V P Singh

Fatehpur, Apr 17 (UNI) Inveighing against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, former Prime Minister Vishwanath Pratap Singh led Jan Morcha today alleged he was not a 'dharti putra' (son of the soil) but 'dhan putra' (son of money).

''Mulayam is not a ''dharti putra''. He is definitely a ''dhan putra''. He has nothing to do with the grievances of a common man.

He always worked for fulfilling the interests of big industrialists and cheated others,'' Mr Singh said, addressing an election meeting here.

''If Mulayam had anything to do with the pains and sufferings pf farmers, he would not have asked the police to lathicharge them in Dadri,'' Mr Singh charged.

''I can't comprehend what happened to the conscience of the Uttar Pradesh police and why it supported the injustice of Mulayam in Dadri,'' he asked.

Expressing concern over the 'dismal' law and order situation in the state, the JN leader alleged, ''Mulayam must be satisfied after making Uttar Pradesh a rest house for criminals.'' UNI
