Modi holds meeting with ex Japanese premier Mori

Gandhinagar, Apr 17 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today held meetings with former Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori and senior administrative officers on the third day of his visit there.

Mr Mori, who was contemporary of former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, remembered the long relationship between the two countries. He also expressed his country's desire to invest in Gujarat.

Mr Modi also met Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) General Secretary and chief H Nagakawa and Shoichi Nagakawa and briefed them about different aspects of Gujarat development and scope of tourism development between Japan and Gujarat.

In the meeting, Mr Modi urged the Japanese government to take interest in the development of historical Budhdhist sights in Gujarat.

Mr Mori and other Japanese leaders showed keen interest in the development of Gujarat and they expressed interest on the dedicated freight corridor project.
