Minor raped, injured; receives 14 stitches

New Delhi, Apr 17 (UNI) A 5-year-old girl, who went to watch a 'baraat' and went missing since last night, was allegedly raped in Jehangirpuri area of North-West Delhi.

The girl was found in a semi-conscious state near the 'B' Block MCD school gate this morning with severe injuries, said the police.

''She was admitted to the Jagjivam Ram Hospital where she received 14 stitches on her head.'' Medical examination on the girl, whose father runs a small-time 'dhaba' close to their 'J' Block residence in Jehangirpuri, confirmed the rape, police added.
