Manipur: Medical student drowns in Loktak lake

Imphal, Apr 17; An MBBS final year student of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences(RIMS) from Tripura drowned in Loktak lake in Bishenpur district.

Police said the accident happened yesterday when he was out for boating with his friends in the lake.

About 50 MBBS final year students had gone for a picnic by the Lake, police added.

After searching for two hours, the local fishermen found his body in the lake.
