Barabanki, Apr 17 (UNI) Lashing out at BSP chief Mayawati, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today said the former was insulting the minorities by calling them terrorists.

''Such statements are made to woo a section of voters. Mayawati is power hungry. Therefore, she passes such statements to appease Brahmins,'' Mr Yadav said, addressing election rallies here.

''Mayawati is a political humbug. She is true to no one. When BSP comes to power, she would not mind insulting Vaishyas, Kshatriyas and even Brahmins,'' he charged.

''People of all communities are with SP. That is the reason, why the opposition is unnecessarily training guns at the over 3-year-old UP regime,'' the CM claimed.

Terming Congress as anti-people, Mr Yadav said ''it is only due to its anti-people policies, people rejected it in Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh.'' ''Congress can never win the ongoing state poll. Therefore, Sonia Gandhi should better concentrate on controlling inflation,'' he underlined.

''Under my rule, all including farmers, bussinessmen and youth have progressed. I never neglected anyone and constantly worked for the welfare of all the sections,'' he maintained.
