Major dacoit gangs eliminated, claims DGP

Bhopal, Apr 17 (UNI) Major dacoit gangs operating in Chambal-Gwalior region of Madhya Pradesh were wiped out with dacoit chieftain Rambabu Gadaria being shot dead in an encounter in Shivpuri district today, Director General of Police Anand Rao Pawar has said.

''Killing of the dacoit leader was a sterling success as no major dacoit gang was operating at present'', he told UNI.

Police personnel involved in the encounter would be properly rewarded, he said while congratulating his subordinates for the major success.

Police got major success recently in the anti-dacoit operations with the killing of dacoit leaders like Dayaram Gadaria and Jagjivan Parihar, Mr Pawar said.
