Kolkatans wilting under severe humidity

Kolkata, Apr 17 (UNI) Kolkatans today woke up to a hot and sunny morning and experienced sultry weather as the day progressed.

Alipore met department has, however, forecast a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain and thundershowers late in the evening.

The maximum temperature recorded toady was 35.4 degrees Celsius (minus one) and minimum 26.4 degrees Celsius one degree above normal.

The relative humidity was 91 per cent.
