Katihar adjudged best rail division in NEFR

Katihar, Apr 17 (UNI) Katihar Railway Division was today adjudged as the best division in North East Frontier Railway (NEFR)for its excellent performance during the fiscal 2006-07.

Addressing a function here to mark the 52nd railway week, divisional manager of Katihar Mehtab Singh today said that the revenue collection for the said fiscal had exceeded by 13 per cent during 2006-07 over its previous year.

The division had also excelled in providing better amenities to the passengers besides preventive measures taken to avert train accidents in this division, he added.

Some railway personnel were also felicitated at the function.
