Formation of third front soon: TDP

Gorakhpur, Apr 17 (UNI) Terming the ongoing Uttar Pradesh assembly poll as the most significant for the future of Indian politics, Telegu Desam Party (TDP) national secretary T V R Shastri today claimed that the formation of third front was imminent.

''Eminent leaders, including TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu, DMK chief Jayalalita, Indian National Lok Dal president Om Prakash Chautala and Farooq Abdullah of National Conference would meet in Allahabad on April 23 for the speedy formation of the Third Front,'' Mr Shastri told mediapersons here.

Criticising Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for taking credit for India's Independence and division of Pakistan, Mr Shastri noted that raking Indo-Pak isuues during poll campaign only shows how "foolish and politically irresponsible he is." Assailing BSP supremo Mayawati, he alleged she was not true to her words.
