Forged licence case against two watchmen, arms companies

Surat, Apr 17 (UNI) A Special Operation Group (SPG) of Surat City Police arrested two watchmen for possessing guns with forged licence and registered a case against two arms companies and an arms agent.

The SPG team yesterday arrested Virenra Gupteshwar Pande and Sanjay Tiwari Vakil, both hailing from Bihar, for possessing guns with forged licences. The duo used to work as watchmen in a diamond unit in Sumul Diary Road in the city.

Cases have also been registered against a gun agent named N K Mehta and two gun companies in Kolkota and Uttar Pradesh.

The case has been registered under section 465, 467, 468, 481, 484 and 114 of the IPC and under relevant sections of the Indian Arms Act 1959, sources added.
